Sherry Bingamon, 2nd Vice District Governor

Lion Sherry Bingamon became a member of the Mount Orab Lions Club in October of 2003 when invited by PID Floyd Newberry to become a Lion. Since her induction into Lionism, she has served as President of the Mt. Orab Lions Club, Membership Chair, and has helped with various other endeavors of the club. She has also worked with the MERL Team to get a club started at Blanchester, helped form a Leo Club, and participated in the Club Excellence training program. The last two years, she has served as the Zone 4 Chair. She also served on the District Cabinet in 2009-2011.

Lion Sherry received the Council of Governors Award in 2005-06 and the International President’s Leadership Award in 2009-2010. She has also received various other awards from District Governors during her service as a Lion.

In addition to serving her community as a Lion, she volunteers at the Southern Ohio Veterans’ Home and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Volunteer Committee in Georgetown, Ohio.

Lion Sherry is married to Lion Jim Bingamon who became a Lion with her in the Mt. Orab Lions Club. They have been together for forty-two years as of August, 2011.

Lion Sherry is currently working as an Insurance Sales Agent and Lion Jim is retired from Milacon, Inc.
